A luxury garden room in Lancing
A garden room that is three rooms: games room, home office and a hidden store. Bifold doors, herringbone floor, Millboard decking and an 85 inch screen. The only way to show how the spaces connect was to fly through them.
The brief
Show how it is used
Three uses in one building. A still of the outside tells you none of that, and a plan tells you it in a way nobody reads.
Get through the doors
The bifolds are the selling point. A film has to go through them rather than stop at them.
Show the specification
Herringbone floor, decking and the screen are the reasons the quote was what it was.
Months of planning, one film
The clients had a clear vision and it took a few months to get there. The film is the only record of the result.
What I filmed
FPV through the bifolds
Outside to inside without a cut, which is the shot that shows the building works as one space.
The games room
Pool table, screens and the wall it is all built around.
The office end
The working half, shot so it does not look like a shed with a desk in it.
Flooring and decking
Herringbone and Millboard, close in.
The garden around it
Aerial, so the building sits in the plot rather than floating.
The client
A short piece to camera on the finished room.
