Drone and FPV

FPV and drone filming

Two different tools. Aerial gives scale and context. FPV gives movement and connection, flying through a doorway and out across a garden in one unbroken shot. Most jobs want both.

What each one is for

Aerial

Height and context. The whole plot, the finished driveway in one frame, the site at each stage of the build. This is the shot that makes a project legible.

FPV

A small, fast, agile drone flown first-person. Through a gate, round the side of a building, in through the bifolds and out again. It reads as expensive because the movement is continuous.

Ground camera

The close work. Material, finish, the detail that proves the standard, and the people doing it.

Indoor FPV

Flying inside a building is the hard one, and the one worth having

An indoor flythrough of a showroom, a warehouse or a gym puts a customer inside the space before they decide whether to drive to it. There is no GPS indoors and no margin for error, so it is flown manually and planned shot by shot.

Progress filming

A build is a story, and most of it disappears

Groundworks is the clearest case. Everything that decides whether a driveway lasts twenty years is buried under it by the end. Filming at each stage is what lets a client show the preparation, not just the surface.

Flying it properly

£5 million public liability

Covered for commercial work on site, in a showroom or over a property.

Flown inside CAA rules

Every flight is planned and flown within UK Civil Aviation Authority regulations.

Weather reschedules free

Sussex weather is not your problem. If a shoot is called off we move it, with no penalty.

About the drone work

Yes, flown properly. Every flight is planned and flown within CAA rules, and I carry £5 million public liability insurance. If a site has specific restrictions, tell me early and I will plan around them.

Yes. Indoor FPV is flown manually, without GPS, so it takes planning and a few passes. Showrooms, warehouses, gyms and finished houses all work well.

Yes, with the site's agreement. Tell me early about restrictions, neighbouring properties or anything in the airspace and I will plan the flight around it.

Flights are planned so the footage is of your project rather than next door. If a neighbouring property is unavoidable in frame we can frame it out or cut it.

We move the shoot. There is no penalty for weather.

You do, for the use we agree. I keep the right to show the work in my own portfolio, which is what this site is made of.

Got a job worth filming?

Tell me what the project is, where it is and roughly when. I will tell you what I would shoot and what it would cost, before you commit to anything.
