A luxury garden in Southwater
A big scheme that could not be photographed: 1m by 1m porcelain tiles, bespoke curved steps and contrasting limestone borders, with a planting scheme and lighting by two other trades. Aerial for the layout, FPV for the walk through it.
The brief
Show the whole scheme
The plot is large and terraced. From the ground you can see about a third of it at once, which is why photographs of it never did the job.
Show the detail that cost the money
Metre-square porcelain, curved step cuts and a limestone border are the parts another landscaper prices. They needed to be visible.
Credit the trades involved
The planting and the lighting were other firms. A film that shows the finished scheme is worth something to all three.
Work in one visit
The garden was complete and the client was living in it. One session, no return trip.
What I filmed
Aerial establishing
High over the house and garden so the terracing, lawn and gazebo read as one design.
FPV through the garden
Low across the lawn, up the curved steps and round the gazebo in one continuous move.
Detail passes
Porcelain joints, step profiles and the limestone border, close enough to show the cuts.
Inside and out
Through to the dining space, so the garden reads as part of the house.
Top-down
Straight down over the terrace, which is the shot that makes the layout obvious.
Evening
The lighting scheme the electricians installed, which only exists after dark.

About this one

HV Landscapes, who built the garden. They posted the film themselves and credited the footage to CD_OGRAPHY in the caption.

Yes, and most are. You lose the before and after, but a finished-garden film is still the strongest thing on most landscapers' feeds. See landscaping and garden rooms.

Monthly retainers are £950 and £1,450, both with a three month minimum. A standalone project film is £650. Everything is listed on the pricing page, including what is in each package.
